Cellphone usage worldwide numbers in the billions. If there is a possibility of injury from these devices, then a lot of people will be affected.

A cellphone is actually a radio transmitter and receiver. It sends and recieves radio frequency electromagnetic waves. The received signals are fairly low level, so I will concentrate on the signal transmitted from the cellphone.

Cellphones transmit mainly at frequencies of 900, 1800 and 1900 Megahertz (MHz). A microwave oven cooks food using a frequency of 915 MHz or 2450 MHz. In other words, the food is not fussy about what frequency you use, as long as it’s in that range, say 900 to 2500 MHz. Which means, cellphones use Microwave Oven frequencies.

A microwave oven puts out a power of about 1000 watts, on average. If you put your head in a microwave oven, it will take about an hour to cook to a nice sizzling crisp.

A cellphone transmits at a power of about 3 watts, and it self adjusts it’s power continually to compensate for poor signal paths, up to a maximum of 5 to 7 watts. Not much, but there’s a twist…

A microwave oven spreads it’s radiation over the whole oven cavity, so that the food is cooked uniformly.

A cellphone has a tiny, array antenna, measuring maybe 2 or 3 cm in length, and it’s right next to your ear. So 5 watts of power is radiating into your head into an area of perhaps 3cm by 0.75cm. That’s a lot of power when concentrated in such a small area.

The cellphone manufacturers have said that they have put “shields” into their phones to keep radiation risks to a minimum.

If you turn around while making a call, does the call cut out or the audio disappear at any time? No, it doesn’t. Radio waves, like light waves, travel in a straight line. If your head got in between the cellphone and the cell transmitter tower, then the signal should be blocked (shielded) by the shield in the phone, as the waves can’t bend once they’ve left the phone.

Which means that those microwaves are going through your head, all the time.

Whenever you’re “on the phone,” you are being microwaved just like the roast in your microwave oven.

So What Can You Do?

If you’ve got a handsfree kit, use it if it’s practical. Don’t use bluetooth – it also transmits radiowaves close to your head, albeit at different frequencies.

If your phone has a loudspeaker, switch it on and speak at a distance. The guy on the other side will still hear you perfectly.

Buy phones with a low Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)

Don’t let children make long calls. Their soft skuls are much more affected than the hard heads of adults. (See “The Stewart Report.”)

Swop ears every minute or so, to give your head time to “cool down” on that side.

Don’t hold the phone next to your ear while connecting – this is when it transmits at maximum power.

Avoid making calls in weak reception areas, as the cellphone will boost it’s output power to make sure it stays connected.

Keep your conversations short.

Use SMS’s whenever possible.

Avoid sleeping with a cellphone under your pillow. Cellphones transmit even when you are not using them, exchanging data and checking signal strength, at regular intervals.

Avoid carrying the cellphone close to your body. This applies especially to the breast pocket of people with heart problems.

Use a landline whenever possible.

Many people have proven health problems from cellphone usage, brain tumors being the most common, followed by loss of memory, impaired brain function and other symptons. Usually these symptons take a few years to surface.

Windows7 Vista, following poor performance after the next version of Windows, Microsoft, Windows7 will be how it works in a lot of attention recently as well. Windows7 some of the features look better than Vista improved a lot, since most of its features have been made public, then when the final release Windows7, Microsoft’s next step will focus on where? We have clearly seen

Vista needs at least 1.0GHz PentiumIII and 1.0GB of memory. Can be expected, Windows7 more than 50% of Vista’s hardware requirements, now sold most of the computers also do far more than 50% of these produce more hardware requirements: 1.5GHz and 1.5GB of memory. Determine the status of hardware development, according to figure out: only three years old under the age of the computer can run Vista. If the projections of the scheduled 2010 release Windows7 also established, then the Version 7 (mean Windows7) can only be installed in less than 4 years old computer. That is when the computer 2006 can run Windows7, and 2006, Intel dual-core, 64-bit era or yet to come. Today’s dual-core and 64 have been so common Moreover Microsoft has announced that Windows7 will also support 32-bit and 64-bit, 2010 is from the hardware support on Windows7 no problem.

But Windows 7 after that? Wait when Microsoft will release Windows8 computer will look like? If the mathematical rule still holds, Windows 8 will be the next generation of products like Windows7 Windows7 of the Vista, then in turn make our computers more than a 50% requirement. But even now, 2.2GHZCPU, more than 2.0GB of memory, 20GB hard drive space, computers are everywhere. To Windows8 launch day, probably around 2014, Intel and AMD will have at least eight nuclear, 32nmCPU, the clock frequency to at least 3GHz, 2 terabytes of hard disk and at least 4GB of memory would be when the mainstream.

Hardware is what so seems, but Windows7, Microsoft Gairuhezou operating system world? Windows 8 need to be a Microsoft operating system re-key, it should contain a number of vision and now the technology only in the laboratory stage. The following are Windows8 in the design process should take into account the key points:

Refreshing design (Fresh Design.) Microsoft Win32 code base should be abandoned, they should start over. After 25 years, no doubt in how to develop Microsoft’s popular operating system the user has learned a lot. The Windows has only the most needed is a new re-start and easy installation. Before the introduction of a new operating system, Microsoft will take time to overcome these defects.

64 (64-bit) Since it is Microsoft, then let them use 64-bit 100% to write Windows8, simply do not contain any 32-bit software compatibility. This will discard many “genetic” nature of library and function (refer to previous generation Windows version of the old libraries), they are hackers who have no one to provide a security hole to fix them. Therefore, when considering the software design, why not take full advantage of the current 64-bit CPU to achieve complete.

MinWin Microsoft is laboratory design is a revolutionary new kernel?? MinWin, many comments about it. Previously said to be included in the Windows7, but later abandoned. Put it Windows8 it, do not forget a thorough 64-bit and multi-processor design.

Traditional Windows virtualization (Virtualization of Legacy Windows)

Course, when a full 64-bit compatible operating system and does not release, many users have to upgrade to the latest and greatest 64-bit client software. But when you release a 400-dollar operating system and users still want to use 32-bit software and applications, this will do? It provides a full 32-bit Windows support system, as in Windows8 run under virtual machine. Do not care about the virtual is the XP, Vista, or Windows7, just make sure it runs fast. In this way the virtual machine, enabling Microsoft to upgrade and release the case of 64-bit software, providing compatibility with 32-bit programs.

Alienware Area 51 – M7700 – The Dream

Flashback year 2006, everyone in the computer world got stunned as Alienware unveiled their new breed of customizable gaming laptop, the Alienware Area 51. Back then, this gaming laptop was hands down every gamers’ dream for a gaming laptop. If not for its steep price back then, everyone would probably work double jobs just to get their hands on this formerly jaw-dropping gaming notebook – including myself.

What more could a gamer ask for in a gaming laptop? What game or 3d application do you think would not be running without a snag on the Alienware Area 51 M7700’s 3.8 GHz of hyper threading raw processing power provided by Intel’s Pentium 4 processor? Add Nvidia’s GeForce 7800 GTX with 256mb of dedicated memory for stunning visuals. Not to mention its 4 GB of PC5300 DDR 2 of ram. And of course, nobody with a right mind would settle for less than 7200 rpm for a hard drive given you already have all the previously mentioned top performing specs. Definitely not I!

Oh well, those were the days when all I could do is daydream on getting my hands on the world’s best gaming laptop. Luckily for me, the time for daydreaming is over. Even with our present economic challenges, I have managed well enough to be able to finally get myself the gaming laptop that I deserve.

Dilemma to get Alienware Area 51 – M7700

Ok. Now here is the funny part. I finally got enough cash to splurge on my dream gaming laptop right? So shopping I tried to do. And guess what? Alienware does not sell my dream no more! How ironic. How ironic indeed. I guess my dream will have to remain a dream for a little bit longer – Oh yes! I definitely am not giving up on this baby!

After countless hours trying to get quality information from Alienware’s customer support on how I could get my hands on the Alienware Area 51 M7700, I gave up on the Alienware’s horrific customer service and I took a step back to assess what options I got left in getting what I have dreamed of.

Then it hit me. EBay! There, I finally found one Alienware Area 51 M7700! Right then and there, I almost purchased it outright specially with it’s less than $ 1,000 price tag. Lucky for me I did not let my emotions get the better of me. I checked on the details of the unit being sold by this EBay seller. It does look like it’s in excellent condition; I will give the unit that. However, the configured specs are a little low for my taste. And the worst part? No option for a warranty! Oh no! Definitely not going with that one now. Not unless I want to end up going bald for issues that might arise after buying the rig.

The Solution

Just when things seemed too dark, a light shined at service.ztronics.com. They had some of the few Alienware Area 51 M7700 left on the planet. And not just that. There units are configured even better than how I dreamed it should be years back. And the best part? They have a 1 year warranty as an option. Need I say more?

At long last, I’m off gaming with what the critics and gamers alike dubbed as the best gaming laptop for months on end. All thanks to everyone at service.ztronics.com specially their top-notch customer service!

For more details on any variant of Alienware Area 51 you may contact http://service.ztronics.com or call at – 714-979-9877

There’s an old adage which states that “You get what you pay
for”.

In most areas of life, and business, this holds true. Not
necessarily so, however, in the webhosting industry. Often, you
pay too much, and don’t get what you pay for.

Several weeks ago I got a call from a web designer friend of
mine.

“John,” He said “You won’t believe this”.

He went on to tell me about a Plastic Surgeon he was redesigning
a website for. This client was paying $600.00 per month for his
webhosting account.

“The incredible thing is” He related, “I can’t get the current
host to return my phone calls or emails”.

After looking at this clients needs, I was shocked to find that
there was nothing special about his site that justified his
being on anything other than a basic shared webhosting plan. We
quoted him a monthly rate of under five dollars.

In this case, the client was being raped by an unscrupulous host
who was not only overcharging him, but not even providing the
basic support he needed.

This is an extreme example, no doubt, but it all to often
characterizes the poor deal which most website owners fall into.

Several years ago, there was no such thing as a webhosting
industry. Nearly all websites were hosted by local ISP’s. The
average monthly cost for hosting a website was $20.00 per month.
Often, if you called the ISP with a technical question, they
would tell you to buy a book or take a class.

Around 1996, we saw the emergence of a few “webhosting”
companies. These were companies which were strictly committed to
hosting websites. Using the economy of scale, they were able to
offer incredibly useful webhosting packages for around $10.00
per month. What’s more, some of these companies provided useful
tech support which was geared towards meeting a website owners
needs.

Fast forward to 2005 and we now see the emergence of a new type
of web host – the cheap webhosting provider. These are companies
which offer hosting for less than $5.00 per month.

Generally, cheap webhosting providers are newer companies.
There’s a reason for this. It’s extremely difficult for the
older companies to lower their prices when they already have a
large customer base which pays higher prices. They’d be slashing
their gross, and most companies just can’t afford that.

So how do cheap webhosting providers offer such a low price to
begin with?

Part of it is that servers, hard drive space and bandwidth are
much, much less expensive than they were several years ago.
Cheap webhosting providers capitalize on this.

Another part is that cheap hosting providers use a different
business model than the older providers. Webhosting is a very
competitive business. Until recently, web hosts attempted to
compete by providing the most tools and features. The problem
with this model is that not everyone needs everything. Most web
hosts provide free backup services to all of their clients.
Backups are costly, and not everyone needs or wants them, but
everyone pays for them because they’re built into the cost of
the package.

A cheap webhosting provider, on the other hand, might give you
the basic features that everyone uses, but offer weekly backups
as an available add on feature, putting the cost of backing up
websites on only those customers who want that service.

This all sounds great, I know, but what about service? Will I
get competent and fast customer support from a company which
charges me $4.00 per month?

The answer, surprisingly, is usually yes.

Obviously, not all cheap webhosting providers will give you
great service. But not all expensive webhosting providers will
give good service either. Our Plastic Surgeon friend couldn’t
get his $600.00 host to return his emails.

But, with a cheaper provider, the key for the providers success
is customer retention. A savvy web host will endeavor to please
his existing clients by providing the best support possible.

This new operating system from Microsoft have made world crazy with its performance and utilities. It is very fast as compared to previous versions of the Windows operating systems. If you still feel like boot time of the OS is not upto level that was promised by Microsoft. There are various ways to speed up the OS. This article lists 12 different ways to speed up your PC with Windows7.

There may be applications installed in your computer which were installed earlier but now you don’t use them much frequently. These programs might get load at the time of boot reserving RAM and processor cycles. You can make use of ‘Turn Windows features on or off’ or software like Revo installer to find out which programs on your system are unnecessary.
Type ‘msconfig’ in search box and open startup tab. You will find list of applications and programs that start with your OS boot. You will be able to distinguish between system programs and applications. You can turn off applications which are not required to start at the time of boot.
There is not much difference between minimum requirements of Vista and Windows7 but if you are trying to switch from XP to Windows7 then you must add more RAM to speed up the system.
If you use searching a lot time then the procedure explained here is not applicable to you. Otherwise, you can disable search indexing in order to increase the speed of system. If you type index in search bar, you will get option Options Control Panel Window. You can modify settings there as per requirements.
Hard disk stores data in not-contiguous fashion. It is stored as wherever space is available on disk. When we start specific applications, OS have to collect all the fragments scattered in various memory locations. De-fragmentation carries out task of bringing these various fragments of particular applications together, so that time required to search fragments and load them is saved.
To change power settings to produce maximum might not save your electricity will surely speed up your system.
Disk clean up is one more way to speed up Windows7. You can find the option for the same in accessories. This will show the list of all the garbage in your computer like temporary internet files, temporary files, etc. Select the files you want to delete and press OK.

Alienware Laptops are one of the costliest gaming laptops available in the market. If it is difficult for you to get a brand new Alienware gaming laptop you can check out for other options. Alienware Refurbished Laptops come at affordable rates. You may be biased about buying a second – hand laptop. A refurbished laptop is different from a “second-hand laptop.”

Buying an Alienware refurbished laptop for a much lower price is no different than purchasing a new laptop. There are few things to look at before you go for a refurbished Alienware laptop.

• Alienware refurbished laptops run several hundred dollars less than the exact same model being sold as new.
• Alienware refurbished laptops are fully inspected and tested by the third party sellers.
• In most cases, warranty is provided with every purchase of Alienware refurbished laptop.
• Before you buy an Alienware refurbished laptop, check the date of purchase so that you could determine when it was sent to the vendor for revamping and when it was marked refurbished and sent again to the market for resale.
• Hardware usually becomes obsolete in a span of 5 years. Never go for a refurbished laptop older than 2 years.
• Remember, there is a difference between a used laptop and refurbished laptop. Used laptops can be found anywhere at very low prices but there is no warranty of the product unlike Alienware refurbished laptops, which are certified and fully inspected for resale.
• When a laptop is refurbished, it is likely that the model has been upgraded. So, check out the new upgraded features of the Alienware refurbished laptop before you take it home.
• Warranty period for a brand new Alienware laptop and refurbished Alienware laptop may vary. Instead of a 1 year warranty for a new laptop, most companies offer a 3-4 month warranty on refurbished laptops.
• Compare the price of the Alienware refurbished laptop with any laptop having same features. You will still find Alienware refurbished laptop better.
• Transact with reputable vendors or credible sources only or you may end up wasting your hard earned money.

Getting an Alienware refurbished laptop is no more a struggle. A huge range of top end Alienware refurbished laptops is available in the market including Alienware M5500i R3, Alienware Area 51 series including 5620p, m9750, m3450, m 766 etc. to name a few.

If you’re in the market for a new cellphone, now is a great time to go shopping. Cellular carriers and resellers are constantly offering special offers. Some companies offer free cellphones (after rebates), calling plans with thousands of minutes, etc.

With all these ads, where do you start? You can go to a local wireless store and see the latest makes and models. You can also research a variety of cellphones on the Internet. If you go to a wireless store, be prepared to spend some time, energy, and gas.

If you want to shop from home or the office, and avoid any sales hassles, you can shop for a new cellphone on the Internet. You’ll save time, money, and gas, and possibly get a better deal on a new cellphone.

Three factors will determine how much you will pay for a new cellphone: 1.) PRICE, 2.) FEATURES, and 3.) CALLING PLAN.

If you’re on a tight budget and don’t want to pay anything up front for a cellphone, look for cellphone offers with instant rebates. The instant rebate amount is deducted from the cellphone’s purchase price when you order.

If the cellphone you want costs some money up front, look for cellphone offers with mail-in rebates. You’ll pay the purchase price of the cellphone when you order, and receive a mail-in rebate coupon.

Some cellphone offers promote rebates as much as $100.00 or more. Mail-in rebate checks can take several weeks to arrive, and they’re great if you don’t mind waiting for them. If and when you get a rebate check, it’s like getting cash back. For example, if your cellphone’s purchase price was $100.00, and you receive a $100.00 rebate check, your cost after the rebate is zero.

Cellphones with few features cost less than cellphones with advanced features. If you just want to make calls, you don’t need a cellphone with advanced features. If you’re going to take pictures, download videos, music, and e-mails, you’ll need a high-end model with advanced features like a QWERTY keyboard, camera, large video display, MP3 player, and more.

The last and most important factor is the calling plan. Plans differ from carrier to carrier and you have to decide which plan is best for you. Think how you will be using the phone regularly before choosing a plan. You should estimate how many minutes you will use each day during peak hours, which are typically from 6am-9pm, Monday to Friday. For example, if you can limit your talk time to 30 minutes a day, that comes out to approximately 600 minutes per month.

To get the best deal, look for a plan with the lowest monthly rate and the most minutes per month. Get a plan with more minutes than you’ll need to avoid costly overage charges. Monthly rates of some plans offering the same number of minutes per month could vary. Make sure to look for a plan that offers free long distance, weeknight, and weekend calls. This plan allows you to talk nationwide for a long time at night and on weekends.

If your relatives, friends, and co-workers use the same carrier, you might want to select that carrier. Some carriers offer unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling to other people on the same network or other money-saving features for free or a flat fee.

Some plans don’t offer certain cellphone models, and not all plans are available in all areas. If the plan you choose doesn’t offer the cellphone model you want, search for other cellphones that are offered by the plan. The cellphone you want may be offered by another plan from the same carrier or by a plan from a different carrier.

Great cellphone deals are out there, if you take the time and effort to look for them.
